Anyway, I will be arriving PERU on the 14 of February... I'll give a report on the situation on both clubs....

 

i'm informed that they're still closing early, at 1am, because whatever official is asking for the bribe to go back to normal is asking for too much. Several thousand dollars, apparently. I guess that means it's a negotiation in progress and could last a while. This source is not the owner though, so who knows for sure about the details?

 

that's good to know. Of course the average guy, and especially the average tourist, won't know this little system, which will keep the crowds smaller, at least until word gets around which you can expect to 0nly happen for the locals.

Of course, if they're contravening some ordnance that somebody expects to get paid for then it could 0nly be for a short time that they're able to get away with it too. Who knows? The girls I've been talking to have definitely said that there's been a big drop off in their main earning hours and they go in early with the plan to leave early.

Still, no matter how you look at it, it's good news for the guys who are actually in there!

 

For all of you regulars that go to TR

just a word of advice in not paying the cover charge, make friends with one of your favorite bartenders and tell him/her to put you on the blackbook/guestlist and you will never pay a cover charge ever again. This will work if you hook them up with a great TIP no more than 20 or 30 soles at the end you'll be saving money once he puts you on the list....

Go there on the weekends Friday or Saturday - plenty of quality girls... but just be prepared to pay entrance fee 30 soles and now I've heard that the girls are now charging 120 dollars... Happy Hunting!!!!!!

 

For 120 bucks, I wouldn't consider it that happy.

Anyway, the joint is OK, and you can always bargain a better deal. After all, we are in the middle of a worldwide financial crisis .

I agree with you 100% on the 120 dollar pricing.. You can always negotiate - but what I know is that if you take a girl after 3am the prices drop drastically cause most of them want to make that quota or go home.....

 

As with most everything in Peru - you can try to negociate it.

But the problem here is that there is always some dumb gringo who will give in and pay that price !

I 0nly went there once - several years ago, and the gringo rate then was 60 us.
It was told to me by a wise old monger - never pay full price in Peru - or they will keep raising the gringo rates.
Now a little less than 6-7 years later they are asking nearly double...

That's why I 0nly snack, drink, and people watch in Miraflores, and go down the street to LInce to partake of the local talents.

Well I usually get up in the morning and watch my America Noticias in Peru (A peruvian ABC or CBS news in the morning) and saw a girl cumbia band presenting their new member to the group and I was amazed that the girl they were presenting joining the group used to work at Tequila's every weekend... She was one of the prettiest girl in Tequila at that time and now I see here joining the cumbia group.... I should've dated her at that time when I saw her now it will be 0nly in my dreams...

 

After arriving in Lima earlier today I went to TR to see what was up.

Paid the entrance of 20soles which gave me 5 drink tickets worth 4soles each. I just drank water, so I have no idea what kind of drinks the tickets would get me. 1 ticket got me a bottle of water.

The place was kind of dead, around 15 girls and around the same number of guys, though later a bunch of tourist entered as well as a bunch of ugly chicks, some of which I had noticed hanging around the Plaza/Parque

There were definitely some good looking girls in the club, I'd say that about 4-5 of them were hot enough for me to pay for them, even though that doesn't really say much. They weren't exactly stunners or perfect 10s or anything like that, but definitely pleasant looking girls.

I talked to a girl named Gabriella, I think she's in her mid to late twenties. She didn't want to discuss anything but small talk until I bought her a drink. I thought about just sending her on her way, but ended up buying her a drink anyway for 23soles which I guess isn't too bad.

Is it standard procedure that I have to buy her a drink before the girl discusses anything "relevant"?

She asked for 150USD for 1 hour in a hotel, with me paying the hotel - so something like 450soles for one hour. That seemed absurdly high, so I just declined. Even though there wasn't much going on in the club she wouldn't go further down than 350soles for two hours with her paying the hotel. I had no idea what the going rate is, so after offering 250soles for two hours and getting laughed at I just said no thanks.

Is 350soles for two hours the going rate in this place?

Edit: I guess I should mention that I went to the Miraflores branch of TR located on Diez Canseco.

If you pay more than $USD 100 for TLN you are a fool and being ripped off.Keep in mind the average girls salery here is S/600 soles a month.
Do not buy any girls a drink until you have arrived at a price.

I have got girls out of there for S/50 but I knew them....
I have even offered girls to sleep at my place for free and I would pay for the taxi home in the morning. Which they accepted.

But please guys dont pay more than $USD100 as you are being ripped off and increasing the price for everyone after you.

I said lets lye in the bed etc she said to me that will be more if you want me to stay with you. I thought this is unbelivable. she wanted another 250!!!
