Van Halen vuelve a tocar con David Lee Roth

Tras 22 años sin subirse juntos a los escenarios la banda tiene previsto realizar cerca de 25 espectáculos en los Estados Unidos y Canadá, con escalas en Chicago, Nueva York, Los Angeles, Charlotte y Calgary .

Washington - Tras 22 años sin subirse juntos a los escenarios de Estados Unidos y Canadá, la banda de rock Van Halen volverá al ruedo con el cantante David Lee Roth en el primer plano, informó este lunes la agrupación.

La banda tiene previsto realizar cerca de 25 espectáculos en Estados Unidos y Canadá, con escalas en Chicago, Nueva York y Los Angeles, entre otras, en una gira que empezará el próximo 27 de septiembre en Charlotte, en Carolina del Norte, y culminará el 11 de diciembre en Calgary.

La agrupación se formó en 1974 en Los Angeles, de la mano del guitarrista Eddie Van Halen y David Lee Roth, ambos de 52 años en la actualidad. Los intérpretes de éxitos como "Dance the Night Away", "You Really Got Me" y "Runnin' with the Devil" se separaron en 1985 cuando Roth abandonó la banda para lanzarse como solista, entonces fue reemplazado por Sammy Hagar, que duró poco tiempo por problemas personales con Van Halen, volvió a ser sustituido pero tampoco funcionó.

En la gira estarán la mayoría de los integrantes originales de la agrupación que es parte del Salón de la fama del Rock and Roll, incluido el baterista Alex Van Halen, de 54 años y el hijo de Eddie Van Halen, Wolfgang, de 16 años, quien reemplazará al bajista Michael Anthony.

Van Halen es una banda estadounidense de hard rock y heavy metal, llamada así por los hermanos Eddie Van Halen y Alex Van Halen (Guitarra y batería respectivamente). 1984 (lanzado en diciembre de 1983), se convirtió en el pináculo comercial y artístico de la banda, así como en el punto de quiebre para la alineación original. 1984 integraba teclados electrónicos al sonido de la banda (ya se habían utilizado anteriormente en otras grabaciones, como por ejemplo, en "Dance the night away" y "And the cradle will rock...", pero nunca tan prominentemente). El primer sencillo, Jump, presentaba una tonada en sintetizador como gancho, una letra muy pegajosa y dos solos increíbles ejecutados por Eddie, uno de guitarra primero e inmediatamente el solo de sintetizador, que lo convirtió en su primer éxito #1. 1984 fue aclamado por los críticos y los admiradores y llegó hasta el sitio #2 de las listas de Billboard, detrás del súper popular álbum Thriller de Michael Jackson (en el cual Eddie Van Halen toca el solo de guitarra en el sencillo "Beat It"). Yo creo que con el ingreso de Sammy Hagr la banda gano mucho en ritmo, armonia y letra.... when it s love es un ejemplo asi como la gran cancion i cant stop loving you a mi parecer la mejor cancion de todos los tiempos de Van Halen, sinceramente con Sammy Hagar no extrañè nadita a David Lee Roth.... quien era mas gritos que otra cosa
