    Hello,

New member here. Hopefully this is in the right section. If not please excuse me.
I am very impressed by the information on this website. After RTFF I have a few current events questions if you don't mind ?

I have been going to Lima for maybe 6 years now. It seems like every year I return something I used to like is missing. The san jose chongo is gone. TR's in miralfores just keeps getting more ridiculous with their pricing structure. Restaurants have increased prices often times comparable to USA prices. Ticket prices to Lima have also jumped.

I like Lima and I still want to return. I had the idea that if I stayed in los olivos versus miralfores I might have more budget pfp options available to me. Hotels are really cheap out there as well.

I've been to anaconda la estacion ovalo naranjal troc las cuc botecito la naranjita on aviacion but I need more. On my last trip I was going to the troc almost every day which got old. The few times I went to las rocas in huachipa it was a nightmare getting back...just for a 20 minute session. Las cuc is now $57 for 20 min. Is that right ?

I haven't done Ave Peru nor the Tomas Valle scene. The Ovalo Naranjal scene seems dead.

What's going on in Lima ? Is there a reason to believe I am missing something ?

Thank you for reading...RT you are the best!

RT here. Welcome to the forum.

Yes, you are right about prices going up. Combined with the dollar being in the crapper, things are indeed more expensive. I wouldn't go as far as comparing prices to the USA, but I get your point.

Yes, you are also right about the plethora of lower-priced P4P options in the northern part of Lima. Not just brothels, but there seem to be a lot of escorts in the 100-120 sol per hour range.

My main objection to not staying in the Miraflores/San Isidro corridor is that that things are, er, nicer there. Yeah, they cost more, but that's a cost/benefit decision that we each have to make for ourselves. I also believe (from what I've seen) that I would not be as comfortable in a budget hotel in Los Olivios as I would in Miraflores, from a standpoint of comfort, security, and internet access. Also, when I'm not screwing or eating, there's a lot more to do in Miraflores.

That's for me, though. I am a strong believer that your vacation is your vacation, and you should do whatever brings you the most enjoyment, whatever criteria you use to make that decision.

I think you are confusing soles and dollars at Las Cucardas. Recent reports in the Spanish section have the girls priced at 60 soles (not dollars), plus the entrance fee.

Also, if you want, there are more girls in Lince (priced at 25-70 soles for a quick pop) than you could ever screw in one lifetime. Just read the ads in Trome or Mundo Anuncio. Then, you don't have to schlep all the way to Las Cucardas.

Yes, a mongering vacation in Peru is not the dirt-cheap option it once was, but it is still not extravagant. My recent trip (11 nights), including a 2-night side trip to Trujillo (paid for rooms in both Lima and Trujillo), came to a total of $2,811. That included the flight to Peru, as well as the Trujillo trip, housing, girls, gambling, lots of great food, souvenirs... everything. That was $255 per day. I could have done it much more cheaply, except for travel costs. I probably could have shaved $75-$100 per day off of that, by staying somewhere more inexpensive, not eating in nice restaurants, and seeing much less expensive girls. Hell, I could have gotten laid in Trujillo for 20 soles in Bahia Rosa, instead of spending close to 400 soles with entrance, drinks, girls' drinks, salida and chica fees at Badany's, but I had a blast and wouldn't have changed a minute of it. For me, hanging in a nightclub with the boys for two hours, before spending an hour and a half in my CLEAN hotel room with a girl who hasn't just fucked 16 other guys is well worth the extra money. I don't know where I could have that kind of evening for about US$150 here in the EEUU. But that's me... I enjoyed my vacation just the way it was.

Whatever you decide, have fun and report back.

    RT,

Thank you so much for responding. I guess I am just spoiled at this point. Not long ago I was doing miraflores for $25/29 hotel and even a TR 's session for $50. My average stay was 1 month and expenses came out to be around $4000 per trip. This included a $100 a day spending budget.

My RT nonstop flight on LAN was around $500. Now prices are $900.

I kept hearing about chongos in san martin de porres but getting out there was time consuming so it made no sense. Hence I thought what if I really explored that area by staying out there. However there doesn't seem to be enough "brick and mortar" chongos that I can just show up at or is there ? Am I not missing a certain thread on that topic ?

You are correct though miraflores is the place to be. It's getting a little bit too trendy for me though. Lince is great but what to do at night...correct again. I guess it's even worse in Los Olivos.

Things cost more these days I guess. Thank you for your response though. If I do go I will report back.

    Cheers,

    SDB

I think you omitted a very important part of my budget when you quoted me...

If I did the trip on a budget, and you remove $75 per day, my costs would have come to $1986, or $181 per day, including airplane and housing.

Without travel & housing, I would have been right at your $100 per day.

As far as I'm concerned, most of the difference can be attributed to entertainment choices, and the rest to the 20% the dollar has dropped vs. the Sol in the last five or six years.

It's all about what you want to do, once you get where you're going.

I did not include the plane ticket in the 4k. There are also other expenses like cabs luggage fees toilet articles tips etc. It was more of a ballpark figure than an exact amount.

" It depends on what you want to do once you get there"

Very true. Going by old standards I want a lot for my money but have to think differently at the moment.:(
