About: The eternal fascination with all things Beatle pretty much guarantees an audience for any offering from the group and its respective members, and that will likely be the case with Paul McCartney: The Space Within US, a documentary recorded during his 2005 world tour (and broadcast in truncated form by A&E). Not that it's by any means bad. McCartney and his crack four-piece band are seen performing a variety of Fabs faves, from the delightful trifle that is "I'll Follow the Sun" to the genuine masterpiece that is "For No One" (the latter is a solo job, as are "I Will," "Yesterday," and others); as Apple computer poo-bah Steve Jobs, one of the many talking heads on hand to sing Macca's praises, points out, just hearing these classics played and sung by the guy who wrote (or co-wrote) 'em is a treat, and the great sound and high-definition video certainly don't hurt. On the minus side, the camera spends a lot of time in the audience, capturing their rapturous and often quite touching responses to the music. There are also bits focusing on a Beatles-obsessed family from Columbus, Ohio, all three generations of which are excited, to put it mildly, when Sir Paul pays them a brief visit before going onstage, and on two astronauts on board the International Space Station, for whom McCartney plays "English Tea" (from his 2005 CD Chaos and Creation in the Backyard) through a live feed from his Anaheim, California gig. These tangents may be distracting to fans who just want to watch McCartney and company at work, but considering that this was dubbed "the Us Tour," they should hardly come as a surprise. Same goes for the disparate line-up of celebs and others, ranging from Bill Clinton and various academic types to Tony Bennett and Eddie Vedder, whose comments punctuate (and occasionally interrupt) the music. Bottom line: there are better McCartney concert videos (like Live in Red Square), but this is a Beatle we're talking about here. For many, that will be more than enough.

About: After 13 years producing studio albums that were not-so-favorably received by the critical establishment, ex-Beatle Paul McCartney made a remarkable return to the road in 1989-1990 with his "Get Back" world tour. The show, which also featured Paul's wife Linda, as well as a full band, showcased music from throughout McCartney's career, with a carefully-selected set list comprised of just the hits. Beatles songs such as "Fool on the Hill" and "I Saw Her Standing There" sit side by side with solo efforts and Wings songs, such as "Band on the Run" and "Live and Let Die." Richard Lester, who made the early Beatles films HELP! and A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, came out of retirement to create this document of the tour, which is comprised of highlights from concerts across the globe. While the film shows uninterrupted concert and song footage, the archive photographs McCartney projected behind the band during the shows provides a look back in history at the peaceable star's remarkable career.

About: Die Dokumentation „Depeche Mode und die DDR“ blickt auf das Sensationskonzert zurück, das DDR-Geschichte schrieb: Am 7. März 1988 trat die britische Synthiepop-Gruppe Depeche Mode zum ersten und letzten Mal in der DDR auf. Fans gaben Unsummen aus, nur um in der Ostberliner Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle dabei zu sein. Deklariert als Geburtstagskonzert der FDJ, kosteten die Eintrittskarten damals 15 Ostmark. Dass sich dahinter ein Konzert der angesagtesten Band dieser Zeit verbarg, sprach sich schnell herum. Die FDJ-Führung verbuchte die Veranstaltung damals als Erfolg ihrer politischen Arbeit. Hinter dem Eisernen Vorhang wird Depeche Mode zum Symbol für Freiheit, zur Projektionsfläche der DDR-Jugend für ihre Sehnsüchte und zu einem Vorbild bei der Suche nach einer eigenen Identität. Die Begeisterung für Depeche Mode ist in Ostdeutschland einzigartig. Rund 70 Fanclubs etablieren sich in den späten 80er Jahren zwischen Rostock und Zwickau. Das Autorenteam Heike Sittner und Nils Werner geht auf Spurensuche, wie es zu dieser Faszination in der DDR gekommen ist und welche Parallelen es zwischen den jungen Musikern aus dem ostenglischen Basildon und der sozialistischen Jugend gibt. So wird das legendäre Konzert in Ostberlin mit den damaligen Veranstaltern, Musikexperten und Fans minuziös nachgezeichnet. Ebenso die Erfolgsgeschichte von Depeche Mode, ihre Anfänge in einem englischen Arbeiterort, ihre Schaffenszeit in Westberlin, ihre Einstellung zum Ostblock und ihr besonderes Verhältnis zu den Fans aus der DDR.

About: Vanessa Mai live at the Berlin Tempodrom
For two and a half hours, Vanessa Mai rocked the stage of the sold-out Tempodrom in Berlin on October 10, 2016. With "Für dich - Live aus Berlin" there is now a recording of the live spectacle, both as a concert film and live album.
After both the Wintergarten and the Friedrichstadtpalast turned out to be too small for the fan rush, the concert was moved to the Tempodrom, which after all has 3,000 seats.
The result was a gigantic hit party with a Vanessa Mai, who heated up the crowd with numerous hits and a rousing stage performance.
Mai sang a total of 25 songs that evening, including classics such as "Wachgeküsst", "Wolke 7", "In all deinen Farben" and many more. Of course the pop princess also sang some songs from her new album "Für dich", for example "Ich sterb für dich", "Meilenweit" and "Ohne dich".
With "Für dich - Live aus Berlin" the entire recording of the concert is now available on DVD and Blu-ray as well as on double CD. The bonus material on DVD and Blu-ray also includes picture galleries from the concert evening.
For all those who unfortunately couldn't be there live or want to experience the fabulous concert again, there is now Vanessa Mais "For you - Live from Berlin".

The film about Ronnie Wood was directed by Oscar-nominated director Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas). The film ran at both the BFI London Film Festival 2019 and the Tribeca Film Festival 2020. The documentary features brand new interviews with the companions of Ronnie Wood, such as his Rolling Stones colleagues Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts, as well as his bandmate of Faces, Rod Stewart. Other interviewees include Woods wife Sally Wood, singer Imelda May and artist Damien Hirst, as well as current performances and archive material from Woods' moving career. "Somebody Up There Likes Me" is released as DVD, Blu-ray and a limited deluxe edition. The formats include all bonus performances of Ronnie as well as two mini-features. The deluxe format is a limited 40-page hardcover special with pictures, paintings and annotations by Ronnie, which are exclusively available for this format.
