Mr. P69 the walking dictionary here... Bullshit en castellano, has no reciprocal word. In english it implies a lie or exaggeration in a vulgar way of expressing oneself. In castellano for Peru, something similar would be: "cagada de mentira(s)". Peruanos will understand what you're saying. Bear in mind, that saying that in castellano is stronger than its counterpart in english. While in the USA you could say that in TV (maybe)...in Peru it'd be hard to hear it except among friends and/or enemys. Not in a formal setting.

thanks again. I've been looking for a word for that and haven't been able to find one. I guess that's why!

Bullshit, from a slang perspective, has a number of equivalents throughout the Americas. In Peru a bullshitter is a palero, from the slang for mentira (lie), palo... As in: -"So you picked up 3 kines last night and they paid you?... You're such a bullshitter....(eres un palero).. An outlandish piece of bullshit es un palazo. An aproximate noun for bullshit is the non-slang fanfarronada; a bullshitter is, no doubt a "fanfarrón".. personally, when a bloke goes on and on overilustrating a point, using unnecessary "floreo", I start processing it as bullshit or verborrea. I can continue with this bullshit, but you probably get the point LOL...

Also: palo, palero are words that aren't vulgar and are used in any setting, amongst family members even, (as long as you don't call anybody's mom a palera).

Hmmm ... I think the nearest translation of bullshit in spanish is "huevadas". So, when you notice something is bullshit, you say "son huevadas", that means "this is bullshit". Hope you find it useful.

More on bullshit: Say you you're dissappointed 'cause you've just been baited and switched... your first thought is -"This is bullshit" and you want to verbalize it to the girl... you say to her: "esto esta mal" or "tu estas mal" (this is wrong, you're wrong)... it's not literal but does the job. And: I was baited and switched= Me hicieron un cambiazo.
