Chorillos Restaurants - A question

Hi guys,

I am ISO some recommendations for good eats, especially pescados and mariscos in the neighborhood of Chorrillos. I am told it's the best place for seafood outside of Callao.

Anyone care to dispense with some serious food knowledge?

If seafood in Chorrillos is what you want then Sonia Restaurant is a must. Any second best candidate is a long way behind.

And if, being in Chorrillos, you change your mind about seafood and want meat instead... then El Hornero is the place to go. IMHO the best grill in Lima bar none.

 

Could not agree more. Sonia's was also featured in "No Reservation" by Chef Anthony Bourdain.

I also agree with the names given. Not far from Chorrillos is Barranco (it's a five minutes ride). One of the best restaurants in that area is called La 73, AV. EL SOL OESTE 175 - BARRANCO, Telf 247 0780. Maybe there is a post about it in the forum already for it, I haven't check yet. They really have good seafood as well as other Peruvian dishes.
