Good afternoon. RT here. According to this article in El Comercio, Pizza Alley (Calle de Las Pizzas) is mostly through with its facelift and has been made 'safer' and more 'tourist-friendly' If you ask me, they should have left it just the way it was, but they didn't ask me, so there you have it. I used Google's translator on this page and it did a pretty good job.

I agree with you but as you can remember the calle de las pizas had its dark side of prostitution, drugs consuming and selling and other things. So, maybe this facelifting will help Miraflores to have another safe and tourist-friendly place.

What is activity like at Pizza Alley after the facelift a couple years ago? Sly One mentions this place in his newcomers guide. Is the grigo bar, Old Pub, still in business? Is it any more or less safe than before renovations? The proximity to TR makes it appealing to just sit with a beer and watch the happenings prior to going to TR to find the main event.

Still plenty of activity here (as of a year ago). If you're a gringo hanging around there - odds are you'll cross paths with (if not be approached by) a pro or 2. Not sure about those specific places, but for people watching I recommend Cafe Haiti Right around the corner / across from the park - English Review of it Havn't eaten much there other than a snack (that was good) but the make a MEAN (Super Strong) Pisco Sour (You 0nly need 1) !
