well the literal translation will be:.."Lo siento, pero no doy propina a gente que la pide" .....Now a peruvian way will be a litle hard because there is no peruvian way at all....Giving tips is not part of the culture in lima...I'm used to give tips when in lima but is my way to making people remember me in my next trip, .. I do the same with kines when they behaved, so next time I call her I'll have the upper hand over the other guys that want her services at the same time than me....Just think about it in the spanish forum I'll never say what I just said because I already know the reaccion of many cofrades...it will be "you are spoiling the girl".."you are making the price go up" or BS like that...............Now that I'm thinking about it...the peruvian way will be a simple : Estoy micio brother (followed by a dirty look)

This has happened to me in Mexico, DR and Colombia. Guys have asked for a propina without deserving it. In Cancun, the guy that inspected the rental car after I returned it asked me for a tip! WTF. In some cases I had to tip them since I was with the wife and felt embarrased. Juan

actually guys, do you now when is the best time to give tips in Lima? ..its when they dont expect it....back in the late 90s the hotel Maria Angola had a casino, I used to go there a lot to play this mechanic horses game...well I used to make money out of those machines but one day I made so much that I just started to give tips to almost everybody that worked there from the security guys to the girls at the counters, you wouldnt believe the way all of those people open up to me after that...They became my bodies basicly, to the point of protecting you if got in trouble. ...Almost the same thing happened in the golden Palace in san isidro, but since there, there is so many supervisors walking around I just gave nice tips to the girls of my liking,....They greeted me with kisses on the cheeck I remember and they were damn cute man, as a matter of fact the golden has the best looking chicks of all casinos in my opinion, with some respectable exceptions like a girl in the atlantic city ;-) ...and my tips were not that big really but 10, 20 soles for them is money and if your tips are dollars even better....the problem these days is that 2 weeks is just not time enough to be acquaintanced with nobody...and yeah the anfitriona girls are usually the best looking, the problem with them is that tips wont do the trick but if you are a frequent gambler that can help you a lot ...i'm sorry if I went off topic a little but believe me casinos in lima are not just for gambling you can get laid too.

Im not going to translate the phrase "Quien no arriesga no gana" perhaps thats what those people think when they ask for it. Of course there has to be certain manners in order to ask for a Tip. So think about it, you always give tips in your countries, why it shouldnt be the same here?. As a peruvian at first I use to Tip 5 soles, now its usually 10 and sometimes 15 at the most. I cant talk about Kines, just the regular waitress or the guy who look for your car, etc.
