The picture does not show, but it has a Monster sculputure by marcelo wong a young and hip artist. Food was great- in time. The portions are BIG. So one rise will suit both people. Diner for 4 = S/150 not to bad.
    I recommend Caja China.....

    RT here. Thanks.

They can't be open for more than a week, so this is good news.

I assume that -- like all of Gaston's better places -- you will need a reservation once word gets out about the place.

Can you find their phone number for us, please?

Boy, Gaston has a hand of gold!

We left there at 11:00pm tonight -- On a Monday! -- and the place was still packed.

Our waiter said it is like that every night. Incredible.

I do not remember the dragon, but the decoration was interesting. I’m sure my civilian dates would be impressed.

Below are the dishes my friend and I tried. It was a bit too much for the both of us. I don’t remember the name of the dishes for I got rid of the receipt at the airport before getting home. I didn’t want to go through the pain again of trying to explain to my wife that dinner for one in Lima could cost over $50 (I had taken a date to Jose Antonio).

I remember that one of the dishes below is Chicharron de Pollo.

The food was delicious and the service was very good. There was a misjudgment in timing by our waiter and our main courses came out too soon. The items were sent back and fresh dishes were prepared and served at the right time with the proper apologies. The wait staff is ready to please the most demanding customer.

RT here. I don't have a wife, so I kept my copy of the receipt. :p

#1 and #2 were Chim Pun Kao and Siu Mai. #3 was Chicharron de Pollo, #4 was Frutos del mar Saltaldos, and #5 & 6 were Fajitas Chiferas (sauteed pork with vegetables - sort of mu shu pork). #5 were the pancakes.

I agree with Juan... the service was exemplary, and the food was very good. Including two sodas and two beers, I felt that 145 soles was very fair... we had a couple more dishes than is pictured.

Also, it was a pleasure meeting Juan Alimana; he's a great guy.

The entrance looks a bit different in that there is a clothing store next to madam tusan.
I believe a sign of the body tech gym is on top of the building for further reference.

For those who come with car, there is an under ground garage with plenty of space-
    there are no parking fees!

I dined here recently and my opinion of the food is too salty. I ordered the spring rolls, special fried rice and chi-jau-kay.
Now, the ambience and the quality of the ingredients is good. but the filling in the spring rolls was too salty. the cook had a heavy hand with the salt in the fried rice. the chi-jau kay is supposed to be chicken chunks with oyster sauce. Gaston's presentation is a chunk of half chicken and half shrimp, which is kinda neat and fine, but, it was dry. there was very little sauce on the chicken, and the sauce that was on there was like a mix of oyster sauce and ketchup(not a good combo). My opinion of Chifas in Lima is not a positive one in general. they just don't match the level of chinese food in Asia nor the United States...on the other hand, the japanese restaurants in Lima are good overall in my opinion.

RT here. Madam Tusan has expanded to three Lima locations, with one in La Molina, and a second in Miraflores, on 28 de Julio on the east side of Paseo de La Republica... in the new shopping center with Supermercado Tottus.

On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the 28 de Julio branch opens at 9 am and offers a full Dim Sum, complete with a guy with a cart and everything. Jack Jericho and I visited a couple of Sundays before Christmas. We had a lot of dishes... some were great; some were good.

As I've said before, Madam Tusan is pricey, but you get high-quality food and mostly excellent service.

AND -- I got to meet Gaston! He walked in as we were winding up Brunch. He insisted that I take a couple of photos with him. Now he won't stop calling. Click on the photos to enlarge.

thanks for the tip, RT. I went to the 28 de Julio intersection with via expresa location in Miraflores on a sunday morning and enjoyed sampling items from the dim sum menu. if you drive, there is a large parking garage underground. the presentation, ingredients and flavors were very good. I like that there is a tottus supermarket in the same shopping center. You can pick up groceries on your way out.

I returned to Madam Tusan in July 2015 and ordered their sweet and sour chicken with pineapple (Pollo Cru Yok, 32 soles), a side of white rice (8 soles) and drank a Limonada clasico (7 soles). The chicken was very good. I took these pics of my meal.
