Peruvian Restaurant in Miami

RT here. I was in downtown Miami this afternoon on a top-secret mission for PeruTops, and I found myself 0nly two blocks away from Ceviche105, so I decided to treat myself to lunch. I had been told about this restaurant by a friend a few months back, but I am rarely in that part of town mealtime.

I was greeted by the hostess, and when I replied with "Que tal?," we were fast friends.

The menu is extensive, with a bunch of ceviche and tiradito options, as well as many Peruvian classics. I chose the Chocolo a la Huancaina ($7), followed by a Parihuela ($15).

The corn dish was a little skimpy, but tasty. The parihuela was not 0nly huge, but delicious. Click on all photos to see a larger version.


The total, including tax and tip, but with just water, came to $28. The service was every bit as good as the food. Could I do better in Lima with 80 Soles? Of course I could, but I wasn't in Lima, and I got to enjoy some of my favorite Peruvian dishes.

As I left, I stopped by the ceviche prep station. Everything looked fresh, and the ceviches being served at the other tables looked good enough to, well, eat.

Rt here. My mother and I stopped by Ceviche105 last Wednesday night, and this time, I remembered my camera.

I had a cebiche mixto in a salsa de rocoto, and then anticuchos, and mom had a Tacu Tacu with Salmon, covered in a seafood sauce.

This place is excellent, and almost made me not miss being in Lima for a couple of hours. If you're ever in South Florida, it's worth stopping in.

We had Ceviche Mixto, Conchitas Parmesean, Tacu Tacu con Pescado Saltado, and Arroz con Mariscos.
