I happen to heard nothing but great things about this restaurant.
When I was a kid, I remember it to be a small convenience store
so I was excited to know more about this....... Here is the 411

I went to the Surco sede and it was valet parking.

I went with a friend, we both have an entree (leche de tigre for me), causa for her. As a main course I had arroz con mariscos with was amazing and she had a lomo saltado. She had a glass of wine and I had
a soda the total came about 160 soles.. Well worth it...

I strongly recomend, service was prompt, food was delicous and fresh....

RT here. I visited La Preferida twice last trip, once for Lunch, and once for breakfast.

From our lunch, here's a Shrimp Cocktail (the cup was swimming with them), Tartar de Almejas (Clam Tartar, but I would have called it Clam Cebiche... either name, it was delicious), and Arroz con Mariscos:

It was all wonderful. And, as a bonus, you get a 15% discount when you pay with a MasterCard. So I did.

So, for breakfast, they have this whole seafood/cebiche/stuff bar. You pick what you want, and pay by the piece. Most items were five sols. I thought that I had died and gone to heaven.

I had quite an assortment, along with a rocoto relleno. Also pictured is the fish hamburger. I didn't see it until I was on the way out; maybe next time.

Speaking of on the way out, the cashier was REALLY easy on the eyes.

RT here. I hit up La Preferida twice for Breakfast in August.

There's the Fish Hamburger, Clams with cut up onions, lime juice and other stuff, Rocoto Relleno (stuffed Pepper), Cebiche of Conchas Negras, Parihuela (Seafood Soup), and Clams Tartar.

I can spend waaaay too much money there, especially for Breakfast. Buy you know, I don't care.

Another benefit of a Cebicheria that opens as early as they do is that I can get a last Seafood fix in on Getaway Day. I had a 3pm flight, so I had to leave for the airport at noon. This didn't give me time for a proper Lunch before leaving, but I was back in my apartment after Breakfast by 10:00 am!
