Chongo?

Chongo is slang for Brothel, Place of prostitution, like las Cucardas or El Trocadero.
I'm havent gone to San Juan de Miraflores, so I can't confirm or deny what is posted there.

Chongo, is peruvian jargon and means whorehouse. In this case it specifically refers to a small and most probably clandestine whorehouse.

If you decide to visit those chongos, and see the SW's, go with a ranked member (or two). Don't let the Miraflores name fool you, it's a different much poorer town (5 soles motels!).

Besides the meanings above mentioned, you'll hear "chongo" as a synonym for ruckus; a collective situation that got out of hand, turned into a "chongo". Or your girlfriend caught you walking out of a prosticlub, so she made a fucking scene or hizo un chongo.

 

That's funny. Any situation that reflects the same environment of a whorehouse (in the way people mingle and deal, a total mess), we would say it is a chongo. The example of meretriki is good, I give another one. When people go to an event and want to mess around with somebody or something, they usually make a chongazo (big chongo ). For instance, peruvian politicians make chongo all the time .
