About Your Professor

Professor Michael Geisen was selected from among millions of public-school educators to serve as the National Teacher of the Year in 2008. getting a hold of his Advanced Series soon followed. At the time, I had just moved to Korea and was beginning my first forays
into the ?Attraction Community.? As a relative newbie, the Advanced Series quite simply blew me away. I listened to it
constantly, over and over again on my walk to and from work, enjoying it both for its entertainment and informative value.
The program comes in David D?s trademark red and white packaging, and will arrive in the post with an innocuous name as the
sender (for those of you worried about privacy.) The CD (Audio) program can be purchased from his site for a one-off $235, or
in five monthly payments of equal value ($56.40). Buying through his website instead of his eBay site also gets you a free
first CD from his interview series. It also comes with his standard 30 day money back guarantee. Most men generally have fond
memories of their first realizations and contact with material from the ?Attraction Community,? regardless of the results or
progress they are actually making. There?s a kind of honeymoon period where your self-belief soars and there?s actually a
higher chance of success, if 0nly because you?re convinced that your new found knowledge will translate directly into
results. It works like a mild placebo. So it was for me. Unfortunately, this phase wears off and leads to ?beginner?s hell.?
Despite this, I still find myself (some two and a half years on) listening to parts of the series again from time to time.
Some of the concepts have become second nature as my current thought processes, but I always discover a few gold nuggets that
I wasn?t ready for or didn?t notice on the first listening. The Advanced Series has two editions. The first edition was a
seminar that took place over three days, and comes in 11 CDs. It?s the audio version of this that I?m reviewing today. The
structure of the material is sequential and logical. It follows a deductive format supported by real-world examples, and
based heavily on the experiences of DeAngelo and his guest speakers. To fully appreciate David D?s other programs, you need
to understand his evolutionary approach to the subject of human relationships. The first CD deals with this and his other
main concepts, and setLook up this terms the context for the material to follow. It begins with the maxim: ?Attraction isn?t
a choice,? a concept that most people in the ?Attraction Community? are familiar with but often forget. It?s something I need
to remind myself of every time I catch myself trying to talk a woman into finding me attractive. For me, this is one of the
greatest and most underrated pieces of advice out there, and is more important than his C+F (Cocky & Funny) material ... even
though it?s virtually ignored by most guys out there. The rest of the first CD deals with definitions and a few basic NLPLook
up this term based techniques, like reframing and ?Turning Fear into How Questions.? In CD2, DeAngelo delves into some pretty
deep psychology as he discusses some pretty intense evolutionary concepts and explores Jungian psychology as well as
neurochemistry and primal behaviour. He refers to this stuff as a complete ?Freak Show,? and it?s the kind of stuff you?ll
want to talk to your friends about for the next few weeks. For example: unbeknownst to 10% of the people on this planet, they
were raised by a man who isn?t their biological father ... and that includes Western nations. Probably not something you want
to bring up at the next family reunion, but the implications of this information are astounding. Next David D delves into
?Limiting Beliefs? and a few other concepts that are worth mentioning, even if they aren?t tied together thematically, such
as ?Luck is a Choice? and ?Whose Reality is It ?? Disc 5 examines what, both historically and in pop culture, makes men
attractive, while Disc 6 marks the course?s transition from the theory to the practical. The focus here becomes examining the
undercurrents of emotions, as well as the practical issues when it comes to women you?ve just met and how to interact with
them. From Disc 7 onwards, the subject matter is almost entirely practical, as well as hearing from some great guest
speakers. Issues like: ?My Personal Favourite Openers? and ?Where to go on a date ?? are best used to gain an insight into
how to structure and plan your own logistics as opposed to taking them 0nly at face value. There?s an underlying formula to
the way David D approaches these issues and the formula is more valuable than the results of the equation. As he acknowledges
in another program, he?s trying to teach you how to fish rather than give you the fish, as the old proverb goes. Not to
mention the fact that practical content (like pick up lines, and which restaurant to take a girl to) gets old very quickly.
The 61st track of the entire program (Disc 8, track 3) is where David DeAngelo?s most famous contribution is first aired:
?Cocky and Funny.? It?s great, and he examines it thoroughly, but I can?t help but feel that he has way better concepts that
are underrated in comparison. From disc 9 to disc 11, it?s almost entirely guest speakers. The line-up includes: Orion, Eric
(a.k.a. Hypnotica, who talks about ethics, inner game and some deeper concepts), Rick H. (who essentially talks about natural
game and threesomes), Riker and around 40 minutes with Brent I think David DeAngelo?s greatest strength is his ability to use
guest speakers well and to allow them to do their thing. The value certainly shows. Although at times the speakers are a bit
scattered and more entertaining than helpful, they bring some much needed levity to the program, as David D?s tone and pace
can get a touch repetitive and tedious. For my money, Rick H.?s section was the most entertaining, while Hypnotica?s
appearance has the best re-listen value as it gives more on its third or fourth listen through. The final three tracks are
from David D again, and it?s definitely a feel good finish to the entire program. So who is this program best suited for ?
Well, it?s not going to get you hyped up before a night out clubbing, but it will definitely give you plenty of food for
thought ... not just when it comes to attraction, but also when it comes to self improvement. I personally believe that this
is a fantastic starting point for anyone new to the ?Attraction Community.? I most applaud the ethics and values that David D
tries to impress upon his audience. He does this well without ever coming across as preaching. His views certainly aren?t
going to be popular with mainstream society, but it?s entirely possible to disagree with him and still respect his stance.
The Advanced Series also represented a personal milestone for David DeAngelo and the announcement of one of the community?s
best known personalities. The Advanced Series is easily worth the price tag, and a must-have for those serious about
self-improvement, game and dating. Pros: In depth without being too large. Gives a full view of most of the issues and areas
that deal with attraction and male-female dynamics. Easy to listen to and absorb. Great re-use value as it gets better on
subsequent listening.
