Seguramente más de uno de ustedes habran jugado plants Vs. zombies cortesia de pop-cap games versión PC (lástima, yo no lo he jugado) pero por lo que he oído es como un Tower Defense donde varias simpaticas plantas intentarán detener a hordas de aterradores zombies, claro que hay mucha variedad de zombies/plantas, ya en esta beta 3 hay 6 tipos de plantas, esperemos que en proximas versiones vaya mejorando.

Buen juego pero deberian ya renovarlo porque llega un punto donde se vuelve monotono, puedes actuar desde el punto de las plantas o atacando desde los zombies

Prometieron un juego de acción de la vieja escuela y eso es precisamente lo que nos encontramos en el espectacular Hard Reset. Un título durísimo en el que incesantes oleadas de enemigos nos van a poner firmes a base de bien en una notable aventura que hará disfrutar de lo lindo a los amantes de la acción.


Armas para todos los gustos, infinitas hordas de enemigos devastadoramente salvajes, una acción constante que no da lugar al respiro y un espectáculo tecnológico digno de los más grandes. Hard Reset prometía contentar a los fieles seguidores de la acción en primera persona que añoraban los viejos tiempos, y no hay dudas de que Flying Wild Hod lo ha conseguido. Y lo hacen manteniéndose fieles en lo jugable a grandes clásicos como Doom, pero con un aderezo en forma de unos entornos muy interactivos que dan como resultado una intensísima y divertida experiencia de acción. Eso sí, preparaos porque éste no es un juego para niños.


Acción sin control
Con un argumento que actúa como mera excusa para sumergirnos en un impresionante universo cyberpunk que recuerda, a nivel estético, a clásicos del cine de ciencia ficción como Blade Runner, Hard Reset se trata, como decimos, de un auténtico homenaje a los grandes de la acción de la década de los noventa en los que todo lo que no fuera correr y pegar tiros a diestro y siniestro resultaba secundario. Por eso, la cálida bienvenida que nos darán los implacables robots asesinos que pueblan la ciudad de Beozar, último bastión de la humanidad en un mundo arrasado por estos engendros mecánicos, es un buen anticipo de lo que nos depara este título en el que miles de enemigos ?no exageramos- nos asaltarán a lo largo de la intensa, pero breve, aventura que plantea.
Enemigos de todo tipo correrán hacia tu posición como si su vida les fuera en ello. ¿La medicina? Una buena dosis de plomo y energía eléctrica.
Como explicábamos, Hard Reset bebe de los más grandes del género, y eso es algo que se nota en aspectos como la necesidad de recoger botiquines para sanar las heridas, la ausencia total de un sistema de coberturas, munición repartida por los escenarios y un montón de zonas secretas por descubrir. Algo que para muchos puede resultar un tanto anticuado aunque bastan un par de minutos para darse cuenta que la acción de Hard Reset funciona a las mil maravillas. Y es que ¿para qué quieres un sistema de coberturas si tus enemigos van a correr hacia ti como locos? ¿De qué te sirve protegerte tras un muro si una explosión o un robot de enormes proporciones lo va a derribar en un santiamén?


En esta obra, que es el primer trabajo de un estudio formado por antiguos integrantes de People Can Fly (Painkiller) entre otros, lo único que cuenta es lo rápido que te mueves y lo bien que combinas el imponente arsenal que se te brinda en tu lucha contra las oleadas enemigas. Un aspecto que además ofrece un diseño novedoso al presentarnos tan solo dos tipos de armas distintas, una basada en el fuego balístico y otra de energía, que podremos ir mejorando progresivamente con el empleo de la energía NANO que nos dará acceso a nuevos tipos de armas que a su vez, podremos mejorar con características adicionales. De este modo, nuestro rifle de combate podrá convertirse en un lanzagranadas, escopeta, un lanzacohetes? mientras que el arma de energía podrá ampliar su radio de acción con letales descargas eléctricas, brutales rayos de plasma o la posibilidad de lanzar campos de energía capaces de ?atrapar? a los enemigos en su interior.


La escala de algunos enemigos resulta imponente, pero hemos echado en falta más batallas de este tipo que dotaran al juego de mayor variedad.
Las opciones resultan bastante amplias y la posibilidad de ir mejorando cada una de estas armas con nuevas opciones, aparte de las habilidades propias del protagonista, le confieren al título un toque estratégico que nos ha encantado.

Algo que entronca directamente con el empleo de dos únicas armas base que serán las que nos permitan acceder al resto del arsenal, facilitando así la combinación de distintos estilos de combate. Pero a esto debemos sumar también la imperiosa necesidad de usar el entorno como un arma más. Barriles explosivos, vehículos, sistemas eléctricos que lanzarán rayos al sobrecargarse? cada batalla contra las decenas de enemigos que nos atacarán simultáneamente supondrá un enorme desafío que requerirá de toda nuestra atención para salir con vida, y gran parte de la culpa en nuestras victorias la tendrá el entorno. No en vano, cuando ante ti aparecen varias decenas de pequeños robots asesinos corriendo como locos puedes correr y disparar con todo lo que tengas, o aprovecharte de varios barriles explosivos junto a unos vehículos para crear tal explosión que barra a estos enemigos de un plumazo. ¿El problema? Que los enemigos pueden originar exactamente este mismo tipo de situaciones pero a la inversa, por lo que morir en medio de una caótica sucesión de explosiones es algo de lo más normal en Hard Reset.
