Good afternoon. RT here. Many of the streets here in Lima are named after people. So far; so good. Some streets named after (I presume) military guys are preceded by "Gral". I am guessing that is short for "General". Now, here's my question: What does "Jr" stand for in street names? Thanks.

RT here. This much I can answer... It is not always a one-way street. The Doubletree El Pardo Hotel's business card lists them as being on "Jr. Independencia", and I know for certain that it is a two-way street. ...but I'm just happy to know what the "Jr." stands for.
